How to find Beadlam Grange

Leave the A1 by the A168 Junction 48 to Thirsk.

From Thirsk follow the Scarborough / East Coast Road (A170).

7 miles out of Thirsk, the road climbs steeply up Sutton Bank.
Carry on along this road to Helmsley.

Note to Caravanners - you will need to follow the Caravan Route
from Thirsk via Coxwold to Helmsley avoiding Sutton Bank.

Through Helmsley Market Place, turn right handed
along the A170 signposted to Scarborough.

2 miles east of Helmsley and 1 mile before the village of Beadlam,
Beadlam Grange is on the right hand side off the main road.

We are not in Pockley village so please don't turn
off left handed up to Pockley Village!!

Helmsley

Helmsley, just 2 miles from Beadlam Grange is in the heart of Ryedale which includes the dramatic landscape of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, the Howardian Hills, the Yorkshire Wolds and the patchwork of farmland in the Vale of Pickering and the Vale of York. Situated on the banks of the River Rye, Helmsley is one of Yorkshire's most popular market towns with an abundance of quality shops, restaurants and pubs which surround the market square with its gothic memorial to the second Earl of Feversham.

Duncombe Park, an 18th century mansion and home to Lord & Lady Feversham
and Helmsley Castle both overlook the town. Helmsley Walled Garden set against
the backdrop of Helmsley Castle is a five acres site which has been lovingly restored
by voluteers and houses an extensive range of plants. The Tourist Information
Centre is within the Castle's visitor centre and there is a regular Friday
Market in the Market Square every week.
